I don't think i could have scored nearly as well on mcat without pre-med subreddit. if you have any conceptual question, i guarantee someone else had that question before you. especially useful for looking at questions you got wrong on uworld or various fl's. Also general great guidance for application help though be wary - sometimes you fall into trap of feeling like everyone else has 520+ mcat and 4.0 gpa. Take the "what are my chances at xxx school" posts with a grain of salt.

Helpful for really anything med admissions related: PS, W/A section, MCAT, secondaries, II, etc... Sometimes you can get bogged down with all the info/differing opinions but overall not a bad source for info if you have no clue where to start

Wouldn't have made it to med school without this honestly. Definitely pick and choose what advice you listen to though, there's great advice here but also a lot of blind leading the blind.

+1 on the fact that this can be a super helpful, and fun community. They answered lots of my questions and I got to see some fun content here and there. So great for overall guidance, and to start studying. But be careful.. don't let it take away from your studying! Another great resource similar to this would be the r/MCAT subreddit, that's more geared towards the MCAT, but this is a great place for overall premed content.

I thought that this community was very useful for finding information especially coming from a school with bad pre-med advising. There were a lot of very helpful people. However, there could be issues comparing with others. There are a lot of people with really good scores and stats and it could be discouraging seeing so many people perform really good so it is important not to compare with others.

This is a great community for tips! I loved going on this site to look like what the future (in medical school) could look like. There is always fresh info and people willing to help.
